After it was released, the song “God’s Plan” broke the Apple’s first-day streaming record with 14 million streams. “God’s Plan” also had broken the Spitify’s single-day streaming record with 4.5 million plays in 24hr. 

In 2018, this song “God’s Plan” became the mostly streamed song in United States with 918.87 million audio and 647.84 video streaming. In 2018, 1,056,000 copies of the song was sold and the song became the second best-selling digital song after Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect”. 

On 16 February, 2018, a music video of this song “God’s Plan” was also released on Drake’s official YouTube channel which had been directed by Karena Evans.
