“Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki” is a song, performed by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal for the 2014 Hindi film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014). The song had been written by Ahmad Anees and Kumaar. The song was a remake of the original popular song “Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki”, performed by well-known Pakistani singer Fateh Ali Khan and Farah Anwar for the Punjabi film Virsa. The composer of the original song was Sahir Ali Bagga but Shaarib Sabri and Toshi Sabri re-make the music. The song “Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki” had been released as a single on 12 June 2014 but the film soundtrack was released on 16 June 2014. The leading actress of the film “Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania” was Alia Bhatt who sang an unplugged version of this song which was released on 2 July 2014. The song, Main Tenu Samjhawan Ki” reached number one position on several Indian charts. In 2014, Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal were awarded the BIG Star Entertainment Awards for “Most Entertaining Singers” and also won the Star Guild Awards for Best Male and Female Singer. In 2015, they won 7th Mirchi Music Awards for Male and Female Vocalist of the Year. Shreya Ghoshal was awarded IIFA Awards for Best Female Playback Singer on 2015.
